Introduction & Legacy
In 2017, BMUCO took its first steps in classrooms in Nepal and India, conducting science seminars in underprivileged schools. Today, we stand as diverse and global organisation, connecting the world's brightest scientific minds with eager learners across continents. Since our inception, we've reached out to over 30 schools across the Global South, to continue our mission.
Now we host talks and conversations with influential figures of our time on everything ranging from astrophysics to AI. We also host climate change conferences that tackle real-world challenges. We're not just talking about science; we're fostering a community that acts on scientific knowledge.
At its core, BMUCO remains a dynamic, diverse, youth-led, women-led and neurodivergent-led organisation with a dedicated focus on the Global South. With several thousand followers on social media, we are a diverse collective committed to driving scientific innovation and climate action.

Winter School in Quantum Field Theory
We hosted an online winter school in QFT with the supervision of Prof. Neil Lambert (King's College London), Elijah Cavan (University of Waterloo) and Dr. Gleb Gribakin (Queen's Universtiy of Belfast). We received several hundred applications and we were particularly happy to welcome many applicants from the Global South in our program.
